Jacqueline Gattens is a registered psychologist with extensive experience supporting the mental health of children, adolescents, and their parents. After receiving her Master's degree in Psychology from New York University in 2009, Jackie has worked in various settings including inpatient child psychiatry at BC Children's Hospital, a wraparound centre for young mothers, and child protective services. Jackie is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. Jackie uses EMDR to help parents and caregivers work through their parenting triggers and trauma, enabling them to be more present and attuned to their children's needs. She has also completed the Green Stream Foundations of Play Therapy through Rocky Mountain Play Therapy Institute and loves to incorporate creativity and play into evidence-based interventions for her younger clients.

Jackie believes in a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach and is always prepared to meet children, adolescents, and families wherever they are.
